I am a doctoral student in Information Science and Technology Program at the School of Information Science, University of Pittsburgh. My current research interests focus on the cognitive evaluation of information technology, multi-faceted information retrieval, and recommender system using social navigation. Statistic and Quantitative methods are also important to me.

I am advised by Professor Peter Brusilovsky and working at the Teaching And LEarning Research Lab (TALER), the Personalized Adaptive Web Systems Lab (PAWS) and the Group of Advance Information Access. I am currently working on three projects, mainly involve in 'Personalized Interactive Exercise for Database Courses.' Other projects are to develop the job recommender system named 'Proactive' and datashop for evaluation data of adpative system.

I have a educational background in Information and Network Management and Information Science with degrees from Sangmyung University (Seoul, Korea) and Syracuse University (Centeral NY) and professional experience from Samsung SDS Co. as a software engineer and Jangan College as an invited professor.

I grew up in South Korea and lived in Seoul, Korea and Syracuse, NY before I moved to Pittsburgh. I am interested in music, the fine arts and needleworks.
