If the only prayer you say in your life is thank you, that would suffice.

Current Research Projects
The projects that I am currently working on are personalized interactive exercises for database courses, cultural event recommender, job recommender, and data processing for evaluation of adaptive hypermedia.
In addition, evaluation of adaptive hypermedia and HCI (human computer interaction) in MIS (managment information system) is one of research interests that I am working on.
The followings describe brief descriptions of the current and previous research.
[Recommender Systems / Personalized Information Retrieval]
PITTCULT - Cultural Event Recommender using Trusted Human Network

This project is to recommend interesting information using the combined technology of collaborative filtering and trust-based human network. This system is to overcome the emerging problems regarding collaborative filtering recommendations and to investigate how the information propagation is affected by trust among people.
Proactive - Personalized Job Recommender System
(support by the National Science Foundation)

The Proactive is content-based recommender system which is based on several knowledge engineering technology and personalized techniques. The system is proprietary to each user by collecting various user's usage patterns.
I am particularly interested in how to efficiently make suggestions from multi-faceted point of view.
[Intelligent Tutoring System & Student Modeling]
Personalized Interactive Exercises for Database Courses
(support by the National Science Foundation)

This project is to design and implement personalized tutoring system for SQL and Database-related course.
Based on successful SQL-tutor developed by Dr. Mitrovic from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand,
personalized guidance will be added. This project is two year project and includes from design to evaluation.
I am working on developing the content and designing and implementing the system.
Data Mining of adaptive hypermedia evaluation data
Based on the evaluation data of several adaptive hypermedia systems, it aims to analyze the hidden patterns and develop data repository to share data and the analytical results.
Past Research Projects
[Software Engineering]
Development of Teaching Material for Embed UML
(support by the Korean Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development)
I researched and wrote presentations on UML and the educational issues.
As a field expert, I developed curriculum materials and set up teaching materials for semester course, as well.
[Cognitive ergonomics and human-computer interaction]
Development of Intelligent & Affective Computing System that Interacts with Human Emotion(supported by the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology)
A Study on Gamsung and EEG to Improve the Accuracy of Judgmental Time Series Forecasting in a Web-based Computer Task (supported by the Korean Research Foundation)
My duty was to design and develop the brain-computer interface system to analyze and
interpret psychophysiological signal of human emotion into significant computerized signals.
A Study on Kamsung Data Modeling and the Web-based Kamsung Multimedia Data Base Systems
(supported by the Science and Technology Policy Institute)
This project is to design and implement data management system of multimedia research products from national ergonomics and psycho-physiology projects.
